2017 Summer Camp Opportunities

Registration begins:  April 10, 2017 at 8:00 a.m.

 

Summer Day Camp

Location: Smyrna Community Center Large Gym

Fee: Resident: $150.00 / Non-resident: $175.00

Time:  9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

*Early drop off and extended care available for this camp for additional fees.

Ages:  5 – 13 years

Sessions begin June 5, 2017

Summer Day Camp should be an exciting part of your child’s summer experience and this camp will be the highlight of your child’s summer.  Each day will be filled with physical activities, art and crafts, special guest speakers, demonstrations and so much more.  Each week of camp will have a different theme, which will be incorporated into the daily activities.

Session 1               June 5 – June 9                    Theme:  Great Outdoors

Session 2               June 12 – June 16                Theme:  Hawaiian Hullabaloo

Session 3               June 19 – June 23                Theme:  Mad Science

Session 4               June 26 – June 30                Theme:  Travel Around the World

Session 5               July 10 – July 14                  Theme:  Spies & CSI’s

Session 6               July 17 – July 21                  Theme:  Neon Glow

 

 

Art Camp with Mr. Pat

Location: Smyrna Community Center Arts & Craft Room

Fee: Resident: $165.00 / Non-resident: $175.00

Time:  9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Ages:  6 – 12 years

Sessions begin May 30, 2017

 Come explore the wonderful world of art!

Each week Mr. Pat's Art Camp will take students on a creative journey exploring different themes and key elements of art, design and art history. This all day camp will provide a variety of activities to engage and inspire young artists. Using various media, students will create several projects per week that they can bring home.

Abrakadoodle Art Camps

Location: Smyrna Community Center Arts & Crafts Room/

Tolleson Dayroom at Tolleson Park

Fee: varies

Time:  9:00  a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Ages:  3 – 5 years

Sessions begin June 12

 

Location: Smyrna Community Center Arts & Crafts Room/

Tolleson Dayroom at Tolleson Park

Fee: varies

Time:  9:00  a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

*Extended Care available for some of these camps for an additional fee. 

Ages:  6 – 12 years

Math & Music Makers Camp

Location: Tolleson Dayroom at Tolleson Park

Fee: Resident: $170.00 / Non-resident: $180.00

Class Limits:         Min 12   Max 25

Time:  8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

*Extended Care available for this camp for an additional fee.  Extended care hours are 3:30 – 6:00 p.m.

Ages:  5 – 11 years

Sessions begin June 5, 2017

 This camp offers fun activities centered on a daily mathematical concept. Children learn music concepts while increasing their musical aptitude through exposure and participation. They will learn songs that help them remember math concepts and different genres of music like classical, jazz, folk and others.

 

LEGO Camp:  Intro to STEM

Location: Smyrna Community Center Arts & Craft Room

Fee: Resident: $176.00 / Non-resident: $186.00

Dates:  Mon, July 24 - Fri, July 28

Time:  9:00 a.m. - Noon

Ages:  5 – 6 years

 Tap into your imagination with tens of thousands of LEGO. Build engineer-designed projects such as boats, snowmobiles, catapults, and merry-go-rounds.

 

LEGO Camp:  STEM Challenge

Location: Smyrna Community Center Arts & Craft Room

Fee: Resident: $176.00 / Non-resident: $186.00

Dates:  Mon, July 24 - Fri, July 28

Time:  1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Ages:  7 – 12 years
