The Community Relations Department markets and promotes the City. In addition to offering community events and managing media relations and promotional activities, the department orchestrates development of and management of the City website as well as management of City social media channels. This department also schedules and/or designs major City publications, advertising, promotional materials and places all advertising as well as oversees the development and progress of various community-building projects, cultural activities, and works with a wide range of other community events.
The Community Relations Director serves as the primary media contact for the City and serves as the Communications/Media Manager on the City's Emergency Management team. The Community Relations Department is located in City Hall at 2800 King Street, Smyrna GA 30080.
